Rudeness is a weak persons attempt at strength.
—J. Matthew Casey—

How others treat us indicates the self-assurance attained by those persons. Confident, content, self-respecting people are ably respectful to others. We often doubt our ability, either physical or intellectual, because someone has heaped criticism upon us. The converse is likewise true. How we treat others at any time clearly reveals our personal contentment. We are not powerless over our reactions, even to pressing situations or pushy personalities. We can decide to behave admirably, which in turn nurtures all personalities and soothes every situation.
The adage, “we teach others how to treat us,” is a wise reminder when we contemplate our actions and reactions. My behavior today is an open invitation to others for treatment in kind. I will find responses that are complementary to my own.
