Promise of a new Day

…all humans are frightened of their own solitude. Yet only in solitude can we learn to know ourselves, learn to handle our own eternity

of aloneness. —Han Suyin—

Being quiet with ourselves lets the inner person surface. Acknowledging the inner voice invites the comfort it can offer. Acknowledging also gifts us with certain guidance needed by our uncertain steps. Our quiet times away from others nurture the soul struggling to safeguard our journey.
In solitude we find serenity securely nestled in the recesses of our mind. We begin to understand that all is well. We begin to see that our way is being lighted. Only in our quiet times can we fully hear the voice assuring us to move forward, not alone, but in concert with it.
In solitude we find our sanity when the world around us seems insane.
I will go within today in search of rest and peace. I will discover myself.
