Promise of a new Day

I accept life unconditionally…Most people ask for happiness on condition. Happiness can only be felt if you don’t set any condition.
—Arthur Rubenstein—

When life offers you lemons, make lemonade, so the saying goes. It’s simple and true. No matter the circumstances of our lives, we can maximize the positive events.

More importantly, we can learn from the negative ones. In reflection on the past, we are frequently surprised that the lemon made the deliciousness of a present experience.
All events of our lives are threads, weaving a pattern that is unfolding by design. Each experience is equal to every other experience. We shouldn’t cling to any one of them, or shrink from any. It’s their sum that makes us who we are. Each of us is a mosaic unto ourselves. And ye, by design, our patterns, our lives intersect.
An expectation that an experience is a necessary part of our design, will foster gratitude, even in the moment that we must swallow the bitter fruit.
Today I will be faced with some lemons. Can I make lemonade?
