To love is to place our happiness in the happiness of another.
—G.W. Von Leibnitz—
Broadening our vision beyond our self-serving needs and acknowledging the importance of others in our lives not only fits their spirits, but also fosters positive feelings within ourselves. Our personal happiness grows when we nourish someone else’s.
That which we give to others will be given to us in time. In order to find peace, we must behave peacefully towards other. And to receive love, we must willingly and unconditionally offer it. When we try to control other’s behavior, we meet resistance. We can be certain an aggressive stance invites adversity. How true is the axiom “we reap what we sow.”
My own behavior invites the treatment I’ll receive today. I am free to act lovingly, respectfully, and peacefully.
