Some things you must always be unable to hear.
—William Faulkner—
The strong spirit cannot bear lies; the free spirit cannot bear shackles. To tend our spirit with love and rigor means weeding it like a garden, cleaning it of false values and fake pride. We must never bear those things that violate our integrity.
Sometimes, for sake of peace or a secret doubt that we deserve excellence, we violate ourselves. We give away pieces of our truth and we tell ourselves it doesn’t matter. But it does. And we deserve excellence; we deserve the best quality of life. Peace bought at the price of spiritual violation is no true peace; it is a form of oppression.
Meditation can strengthen the spirit against violation. Today and every day, we will practice becoming the person we deserve to be.
When I listen to my own truth I will be guided truly.
