Promise of a new Day

Gift, like genius, I often think only means an infinite capacity for taking pains. —Jane Ellice Hopkins…

There is no way through this life. Few days are void of struggle. Some days are fraught with it. Each day presses us in some manner. Our opportunities for growth, whether on the job or in relationships, are generally accompanied by the pinch of a difficult decision or the push of an unwelcome thought.
Often we need reminding that we’re unlikely to attain personal growth without the experience of pain. Pain first beckons then pushes us forward to new solutions for tired old solutions. But these new solutions will always surface if we trust ourselves to move through the pain.
No problem is beyond solving. The process of living, when experienced with care and patience, will reveal the solution any problem contains.
I will take today slowly and easily. If a struggle develops, I will cherish it. It means growth.
