Promise of a new Day

The great thing in this world is not so much where we are, but in what direction we are moving. —Oliver Wendell Holmes—

We may feel idle, but we are not. We are moving along some pathway at every moment, and each of us needs to accept responsibility for our movement and determine

our course. For when we are not moving forward toward our desired destination, we are moving away from it. We are moving, always.
Having a goal inspires concrete action. It fosters planned movement, a focus for the day. Additionally, it facilitates decision making. Living without goals diminishes the joy that’s inherent when we respond advantageously to an inviting opportunity. Further, we can only truly recognize essential opportunities when we are in command of our direction.
It may be difficult to look forward to the days ahead if we have no dreams to shoot for. Perhaps a goal for some of us is to simply choose a goal.
I never stand still. I will take charge of the movement that’s guaranteed. I will go where I want to go.
